Speaking at Adobe MAX 2010

October 5th, 2010

Peter and Nathalie of the Project Cocoon team have been invited to Adobe MAX 2010 conference in Los Angeles this coming October to talk about using mobile devices as a remote control for applications.

We’ve been getting heavily involved in R&D and UX design around mobile development for iPhone and iPad as well as Flash Platform technologies including Flash Player 10.1 and AIR for Android, so this is a great opportunity to showcase some of the things we’ve been experimenting with.

Peter will be speaking at the Flash on the Beach 2010 conference in Brighton on September 29th, 4.45pm in The Pavilion. If you’re around make sure you came and say hello!

Big boys and their litl toys

Flash Player is practically everywhere, and one of those places is a cool device called the litl webbook.

Litl supports Flash Player 10.1, has its own SDK with custom controls and an ActionScript 3.0 class library to help you create content and listen for device events.

In this session you’ll learn all you need to get started creating your own channels, testing in the simulator and on the device itself. We’ll deconstruct various creative examples as well as look at best practices for Flash Player 10.1 development on devices in general.
